After almost 9 years, I have made the decision to close MomMe Wellness. It has been a labor of love in many ways and I have met the most amazing moms and families over the years!
I am no longer accepting new clients.
For current and previous clients, I will continue with Spruce app until the end of year for any questions or needs for referrals for other care providers.
For anyone seeking lactation support, I am referring to Katie Koll @ In-Home Lactation Services | Expert Support Covered by Insurance | Treasure Chest Lactation
Consider finding lactation support PRENATALLY.. not just for a class but for a plan and support to meet your goals once baby arrives. Do not wait for there to be a problem before you connect with someone.
If you meet with a Lactation consultant, know the differences between a CLC and an IBCLC.
If you meet with anyone that has you doing triple feeds (breast, bottle & pumping) visit after visit? Get another opinion.
If you meet with someone who only does weighted feeds week after week or latching attempts with little progress and no change in plan other than wait and see or give more bottles? Get another opinion.
Get rid of the pillows! Lol
Stop worrying about wake windows, sleep cycles or training. Feed your baby when they are hungry and let them sleep when they are ready… and you will NEVER ever regret holding, rocking or walking your baby to sleep. EVER!
If it is your 1st baby, do not choose a wearable pump!
You do not need silverettes.
Don’t use nipple balm to lubricate your flanges for pumping.
Don’t expect to do it all and do it all well! Take all the help you can!
Find a support group or 2 or 3 and go!
Never say “never”! lol
I have returned to a hospital that has a great lactation team and honored to join them. I hope to maybe see many of you someday in the future with new babies
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your trust and allowing me to witness all of you manage some of the hardest and best days!
Love, Katie
